dead in our hearts

dead in our hearts

“that for which we find words is something already dead in our hearts.” – friedrich nietzsche

claire morgan creates ethereal installations using taxidermied animals, torn plastic bags, and dandelion seeds.  they are suspended from the space on nylon threads creating seemingly tangible objects which float in mid-air.  i love the the interplay between solid fragmented, life and death, dream and reality, light and dark.

gone to seed: thistle seeds, a taxidermy carrion crow [more]

diamond: torn black and red plastic bags, an atlas moth. [more]

foreign bodies: bluebottles, a taxidermy hare [more]

love will tear us apart: rose petals, torn white polythene, bluebottles, two taxidermied chaffinches (one male, one female). [more]
