Mickaël Martins Afonso and Caroline Escaffre-Faure have created a whimsical installation which is more than just a daydream.
Their interactive work Head in the Clouds provides a welcome refuge from the chaos of city life. When visitors place their heads within the oversized white puffs– installed in a courtyard in Montpellier, France, during the Festival des Architectures Vives– they are provided with a dark and private space within which to receive a sense of relief from the over-stimulation of an urban environment.
