Event Management

Running a successful online event requires a balance of technological expertise, AV production, and careful attention to the attendee experience.

We provide live tech support via phone, text, or chat during the event for hosts and presenters who have issues connecting to audio, video or breakout rooms.

Pre-event support

We provide an event consultation to discuss settings, engagement and event flow. We provide documentation of the event timeline and best practices for hosts and presenters.

Video recording and editing

For those who are unable to attend, the main event is recorded and that recording is edited in order to be posted on an online platform.

Our Experience

In late 2020, with the Coronavirus pandemic in full swing, we were approached by authors Hank Philippi Ryan and Karen Dionne who wanted to create an online space for authors and readers to connect. 

Along with Hank and Karen, we developed the format and tech for The Back Room, a bi-monthly online author event where authors can connect directly with readers and promote their books.

Since 2020 we have provided The Back Room with a full suite of services from event management to email marketing and social media management.

Service Features

Your event may include some of the following services

Attendee management

Admit attendees, muting/unmuting as needed, assign latecomers to breakout rooms, re-admit attendees who became disconnected

Content sharing

Share slide decks, videos, music, and other media content on screen during the event 

Breakout room management

Create rooms, assign attendees, moderators and presenters, and move the presenters between rooms according to schedule

Security and disruption minimization

Monitor activity for inappropriate behavior or disruptive individuals and quickly respond by muting, turning off video, or ejecting

Live tech support for hosts and presenters

Support via phone, text, or chat during event for hosts and presenters for any issues that arise with audio, video, or hardware

Breakout room moderators

Industry consultants jumpstart the breakout room sessions by providing instructions or asking well chosen questions; they also monitor the chat

Premium waiting room experience

A custom designed video presentation featuring the panelists’ books, reviews and press photos set to music, builds anticipation for the event and creates an enjoyable waiting experience

Video recording and editing

For those who are unable to attend, the main event (the portion preceding the breakout rooms) will be recorded and edited in order to be posted on an online
